Alright, I passed both! and I got a C in the one I was worried about! AWESOME! I was worried it'd be in the D range. C is not great, but it is better than a D or an F. Right?

C is the one that's exactly enough to pass right? Yep, good enough, I've been very happy with Cs, or our equivalent thereof.

Congrats!

Thank you! and nope, it is D that is just a pass! at least in the undergraduate program ^^;; Anything below a B is a fail in the graduate program.

Well, than a C is even better =P

It depends on the program what you need to pass? That's weird o_o

Here it's a scale from 1 to 10 and a 6 is just a pass, on pretty much all tests.

yeppers!

Graduate is higher than undergraduate, so it makes sense you need better marks to pass, no?

here we use percentages. Its kinda odd, but eh..you get used to it.

If one class is supposed to be harder than another class here, they just make the test harder.

Maybe your system does make more sense.

I think they do that here as well, but what is an acceptable pass is a higher grade as well

Ah who knows. It does get kind of confusing. We have a letter system which is based of a percent system. Sometimes they post the letter, but not your percent. So sometimes you never know what you got. It is more of a problem in the A range though

Aren't they required to tell you exactly how your grade was archieved? So you can spot it if they made a mistake?

They don't always point out what you did wrong. On tests, you get comments asking for more detail. Everything else you wrote was needed, but you need more detail, which there is not enough time to put into your test.. -_-*******

Ah yes, I had a similar thing with a paper once. The guideline was 1000 words, I was already at 1500, and still they asked for more detail.

Teachers can be funny that way =P

Probably better not to find out =P

Too bad the majority of people aren't masochistic.

Some of them may laugh then make a note of it.. XD

You want them to be masochistic?

Not really. We'd probably die out as a race if that was the case.
